Introduction to Scott Rose

Scott Rose is a Senior Outside Sales Representative and Project Manager for Bode Equipment Company. He is the head of our Massachusetts office to which he brings his many years of experience, success, and knowledge to the Bode team.

Scott has been married to his wife, June, for 38 years and they have a son, 36 who is married and the National Sales Manager at Twisted Throttle a high-end motorcycle accessories company.  They also have a daughter, 27 who is married as well and works as a Pharmacy Technician at Partners Health Care.

In his free time Scott enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends. The Rose family is part of the Disney vacation club where they regularly vacation.

Beginning at SHECO

The Rose family has owned Service Handling Equipment Company (SHECO) since Scott’s Father and Grandfather founded the company in 1956.  Scott Rose has been involved in its success and storied history since 1972 along with his Parents and Grandparents.

After High School and before working at SHECO Scott attended Northeastern University. Scott was also a service manager at a Harley Davidson dealership.

It was in 1972 that Scott began his career in the material handling sales department as an Inside Sales Representative for SHECO, then moving to Outside Sales in 1973. Scott has continued his career in Outside Sales at SHECO building a valuable customer base along with increasing his knowledge of the material handling industry.

Continuing at Bode

SHECO shared the same philosophy of honesty and integrity as Bode. This made it easier for Scott’s transition to Bode when SHECO was acquired by the company in 2010. Scott has continued his work as a Senior Outside Sales Representative and Project Manager for Bode Equipment Company and still does so today.

Scott has become a mentor to some of the newer sales associates, especially in the Massachusetts office. He enjoys sharing 45 years of his knowledge and experiences with them and is always willing to help. It is this that allows for a great work environment in the Bode Massachusetts office with a focus on hard work ethic, while still having fun and enjoying the company of fellow coworkers.

Scott mentions that Bode is unique in the marketplace because of how it takes care of its customers. Scott and other sales team members at Bode take pride in making sure the customer is satisfied with not just the finished product, but the overall process as well. Some of the business Bode sees is customers that have had a bad experience with other companies and want a company that will handle their project with the utmost professionalism and care.

Scott’s hope for the future of Bode is that sales continue to grow for the company. “I enjoy selling”.  I try to maximize my effort. My sales are growing every year and that’s a great sign” Scott said. Part of what he attributes growing sales to is the fact that he and other team members at Bode take the time to talk to customers when on site and observe the facilities while making suggestions on projects Bode can help with, as well as making clients aware of other products and services we provide.
